Yes! Every item is either made by hand or designed personally by us. We also don't use any AI at all when designing prints and stickers. Everything is made by a human hand and mind!
This means that when you buy a ceramic, you know that it’s completely
unique or that your prints and stickers have been thought of and drawn with love and care.

No two pots, mugs or pottery products will ever look the same, just how we like it.

Our studio is based in Cape Town.

Please allow a minimum of 5 working days to receive your order. We
use Cloud Logistics who generally deliver within 3 to 5 working days, depending
on area of delivery. We need a bit of time after receiving your order to
package it appropriately before we hand it over to the couriers.

Our standard rate is R130, outlying areas are R180. (Larger orders may be split into multiple boxes for safer couriering, this does not affect the couriering cost). Unfortunately pottery is heavy and we’d rather use a reputable courier
who is used to transporting more fragile products.

Pudo can be used for certain products for R80.

Yes. Where possible we reuse boxes, padding and paper when packaging
orders. While it may not look as pretty as a new box it’s our way of reducing
our waste as much as we can.

At the moment Greymalkins products are only available within South
Africa

While we personally put our own Greymalkins mugs in the dishwasher we
would advise against this if you want to preserve the longevity of them. We
advise hand washing only because of this. Any with gold/mother of pearl absolutely
must be hand washed.

Sometimes the kiln gods smile on you, and sometimes they sprinkle a
little something extra into a firing. Misfits are all products that still
function absolutely perfectly but have small imperfections on them. This means
you can give a home to some of your favourite Greymalkins products for less,
just because they’re a little bit quirky.

Yes! All our pots have drainage holes and are sealed on the inside to
aid with water draining out the bottom. No need to use them as a cover pot
(although of course you could if you wanted to), they’re made to have your
plants planted directly into them.

Our candles are made from 100% soy wax and use cotton wicks. The fragrances used in our
candles are paraffin free, UV inhibitor free, and animal testing free making
them kinder on the environment.
Please don’t burn your candles for longer than 3-4 hours at a time and make
sure to keep your wick trimmed.

It's so hard to guarantee what a glaze will look like when firing that no custom products or commissions are being done at the moment.

That being said we're always open to suggestions and will always try something out and pop it in the shop if it works out.
